Is my meeting audio sent over the internet?
No. Voice conversion runs on your computer, so your meeting audio never leaves it. Only professional voices are trained in the cloud, using the guided reading you record to create them.
Can I clone someone else's voice?
Not without their permission. Voices are always recorded live, by reading random phrases, and require explicit consent. To use someone else's voice, its owner has to authorize you — and they can revoke that permission at any time.
Which apps does it work with?
Meet, Zoom, Teams and any app that lets you choose a microphone. Just select “Dixi Voice Mic” as your audio input.
What's the difference between an instant and a professional voice?
An instant voice takes about 30 seconds of live recording and is ready in seconds. A professional voice takes about 30 minutes of guided reading, is trained in the cloud and delivers higher quality and a closer likeness.
Which operating systems are supported?
We're starting with macOS. A Windows version will come later.
How much does it cost?
During the private beta, access is by invitation. We'll share plans and pricing before the general launch.
Will there be a video avatar?
It's on our roadmap: a photorealistic avatar to go with your voice. There's no date for it yet.
